| | | | Blur-free photos, every time With Intelligent Auto Mode, perfect shots are as simple as a click of the shutter. MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilization) eliminates the blur caused by shaky hands. Intelligent ISO senses if your subject is moving and adapts the camera's settings to keep it all in focus. Face detection technology focuses on up to 15 faces, regardless of lighting or conditions. | Powerful zoom, beautiful images Unlike Digital Zoom, which electronically enlarges an image at the price of detail and clarity, Optical Zoom works by physically adjusting the camera's lens, letting you get remarkably close to your subject while making sure your photograph stays crisp and clear. | Exquisite, detailed pictures World-class Leica® lenses bring the advanced optical technology and exquisite effects of film to digital photography. Panasonic Lumix® cameras featuring Leica lenses produce digital photos that have the same emotional warmth, impact and subtlety as photographs shot on film. Several Lumix® cameras even feature a 28mm, super-wide-angle Leica lens that's ideal for accurately conveying width, details and depth in landscapes and large group portraits. | The perfect shot, in any situation Let the camera determine the settings for any situation. Choose from 20 versatile scene modes such as Intelligent Auto Mode, Night, Party, Self-Portrait, Candlelight, Pets, Snow, or even Underwater. The easy-to-use dial and large, animated icons allow you to scroll through the options and choose the perfect mode for your shot. | Perfectly complement your plasma TV Turn your plasma TV into a photo gallery. You can shoot images in the wide 16:9 format and save them onto an SD Memory Card. Then insert the card into your Panasonic Plasma TV to view them widescreen and large-scale. | | | | | |

Intelligent ISO is a feature that adjusts a camera's settings to better capture moving images. If there is movement within a scene, Intelligent ISO will utilize subject-motion detection circuitry to automatically adjust the ISO setting to the appropriate virtual film speed to help prevent motion blur. Higher ISO levels allow a camera to capture more light in a given exposure time, making it easier for the camera to freeze a moving subject. All Panasonic Lumix® cameras offer Intelligent ISO. | Normal ISO Auto | Intelligent ISO
| Digital Zoom is a feature found in many digital cameras and camcorders that takes a portion of the image's data and enlarges it, producing a magnification similar to the effect achieved using a telephoto lens. This process, however, is different from the magnification produced using an optical zoom, and the stronger the digital zoom, the more the image will degrade. | Optical Zoom |

| Optical zoom is a camera feature that magnifies the size of an image through lens adjustment without degrading picture quality. This feature should not be confused with digital zoom, which performs the same function, but sacrifices resolution. Optical zoom requires the moving of a lens forward or backward. | | normal image | 12X Optical Zoom | | | Leica® Lenses are world-renowned, high-quality optical devices produced by the German company of the same name, and showcased in Panasonic Lumix® cameras. Leica Dicomar products are manufactured using Leica-certified measuring instruments and quality assurance systems based on rigorous quality standards approved by Leica Camera AG. Leica lenses offer a variety of impressive features that combine to yield incredibly clear, detailed images and true-to-life colors. |

This means that for every 16 inches of width, a widescreen television has 9 corresponding inches of height. When displaying widescreen images, a 4:3 (standard) screen appears with blacked-out rectangles above and below the image, which is known as letterboxing. | | | | | Secure Digital (SD) Memory Cards
|
Secure Digital (SD) Memory Cards are a widely used format for flash memory in portable devices like digital cameras and handheld computers. When you take a picture with a digital camera, that data is stored on the camera's SD Memory Card, a postage stamp-sized flash memory drive that can be popped in and out of your camera or other compatible devices. SD cards are available in 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, and 512 MB, and 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 GB.
