2. Can a Panasonic fan be used over a bathtub or shower?
Yes, provided it is protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). Keep in mind, however, that any ventilation device located in a damp environment may have a reduced life due to high humidity and a potential for corrosion. Fans used in high-humidity areas should be operated for longer periods of time, to ensure the removal of moisture and to reduce the potential for condensation in the fan body or ducting.

3. My fan doesn’t seem to be as quiet as the one I saw in the show room. How can this be corrected, or is mine defective?
There are several factors that can attribute to the noise created from the ventilation fan. The best way to test your fan is to run it without the duct attached. This would isolate the fan from any possible problems in the installation.
There is also a back draft damper in the adaptor assembly. Also, check to ensure this is not blocked and is free moving. Keep in mind that there is usually no ducting attached to the fan in the show room. Although the fan is designed to operate very quietly, higher static pressures will increase fan noise.

4. I am having a problem with my Panasonic bath fan. When I turn the power off at the switch, the GFCI outlet is tripped. What can I do to fix this?
The problem you are experiencing is not likely caused by the ventilation unit. It is probably caused by the GFCI outlet itself. Try replacing the GFCI outlet either with another brand or with one that is designed for installation with a ventilation fan. Some GFCI outlets will not work with ventilation fans. We recommend contacting the manufacturer of the GFCI outlet for more information.
