1. How do I transfer video from my older VHS-C camcorder to my computer?

In order to transfer video, additional 3rd party hardware and software may need to be installed on your computer. With the hardware, you will need some kind of audio/video input device that will accept the audio/video output of the camcorder. Once connection is possible with the computer, software is required to be able to download and edit the video.

2. When I insert a SD card in my camcorder, I received a card error message. What could be the problem?

Depending on the unit, it may not be compatible with the newer SD cards that are available in the market. Please consult the manaul for your product regarding maximum SD card capacity.

3. Which SD cards are compatible with video recording on my camcorder?

SD/SDHC cards that are Class 2 or higher in speed. The compatiblie size of the card will vary, please consult your manual.

4. How do I obtain a replacement CD that came with my camcorder?

Replacement software CD can be obtained from our National Parts Center at 800-833-9626 between the hours of 9am and 7:30pm EST Monday through Friday.

5. How do I transfer or download video from my DV Camcorder?

Your DV Camcorder will have DV Output connector that will allow connection to a computer that has firewire/IEEE1394 connections. Depending on the available connection on the computer, you will need either a 4-pin to 4-pin or a 4-pin to 6-pin firewire cable which will provide the connection between the computer and camcorder. If your computer does not have firewire/IEEE1394 connection, then additional hardware will need to be installed. Consult your local electronic store for available options. As for software compatibility, there are a variety of 3rd party editing software available. Consult your local electronic store for software options.
