1. Should I set my DVD player to 4:3 mode or 16:9 mode? If you have a standard 4:3 TV, you should set your DVD player to 4:3 mode. Some 4:3 TVs, including both analog TVs and HDTVs, have a special mode for playing anamorphic widescreen DVDs that is sometimes referred to as "squeeze mode" or "widescreen enhanced". If your TV has such a feature, you should set your DVD player to 16:9 mode in order to get the best picture quality. If you're using a widescreen TV, set your DVD player to 16:9 mode.
2. Can I watch a disc recorded by a Panasonic DVD recorder on my DVD home player? Yes. All of our current DVD home players are compatible with both DVD-R and DVD-RAM discs, which are the formats used by our recorders for recording.
3. Can I play music on my DVD player? If you mean CDs, you certainly canbut it doesn't end there. All of our current DVD home players also can play MP3s1, CD-R/RW2 discs, and DVD-Audio discs.
4. Is it possible to connect a DVD player to a TV without RCA input jacks? Yes, but you'll need to purchase an RF modulator to connect them instead.
5. Why is there no picture coming from the DVD Player even though the connections are correct and the movie has started? The TV is probably not in Video mode. There is usually a TV/Video button on your remote or on the television itself. This is how the television knows where the input source is coming from.
6. Can I play a DVD-Video disc purchased in another country? You can play it if the region number includes "1" or "ALL" and the video standard is NTSC. Check the disc jacket.
