1.Where can I find a belt clip for my handset?
We are sorry, but belt clips are not available for the included handsets. If you wish to have belt clip capability, you can purchase a KX-TGA930, which has a belt clip included.
2.Where can I find a headset for my handset?
We are sorry, but headsets are not available for this model. If you wish to have headset capability, you can purchase a KX-TGA930, which has a headset jack. For compatible headsets, see the instruction manual for the KX-TGA930
3.I hear an echo on my handset.
This is normal. When you first use your phone, there may be a slight echo for the first ten seconds of your first conversation while the microphone is calibrated. This will occur again if the base is disconnected from the power outlet, or after a power outage.
4.My handset displays "No link to base. Reconnect AC adaptor."
Disconnect the AC adaptor from the unit, wait for a minuite, then reconnect. The plug may have become loose over time, or not be fully inserted. If that does not work, try reregistering the handset, another handset may have deregistered this handset.
5.My handset displays "Check tel line" and I can't hear a dial tone.
Disconnect the telephone cord from the main base and the wall. Insert both ends back in until you hear a click.
6.My handset displays "1 missed call" or "# missed calls". What does it mean, and how do I clear it?
You received a call that was unanswered, but the caller didn't leave a message, or left a message in voicemail. If you have Caller ID, you can press [View CID] on the handset to see a list of received calls. To clear the handset indication, all you have to do is view all of the missed calls (calls without a check mark). To delete the received caller information, you can clear all messages by pressing [All erase] on the first Caller list screen, or delete individual calls by pressing [Erase] once the particular call is selected.
7.My handset displays "New voice message". What does it mean, and how do I clear it?
You received a message on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. To hear the message, dial the voicemail number provided by your service provider, and follow the voice instructions for listening to your messages. Depending on your service provider you may need to clear your voice mailbox to remove the notification.
8.My handset is not charging.
Make sure the phone is firmly seated on the charger, and the LED indicator on the top of the handset is on. Also make sure you are using rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. If that doesn't work, disconnect the AC adaptor from the charger, and reconnect. The plug may have become loose over time, or not be fully inserted.
9.If I buy two bases attached to the same phone number, will I be able to call one base (or its handsets) with the other?
No. Only intercom calling among handsets registered to the same base are possible.
10.How do I use call waiting?
When receiving another call, press [FLASH] on the handset. The current call is put on hold, and the other call is answered. You can press [FLASH] to go between the two calls as often as needed.
11.How do I increase the volume of the handset ?
To adjust the volume of the handset during a call, you can press [▲] or [▼] on the handset. To adjust the ringer volume, press [MENU], [#][1][6][0], and press [▲] or [▼] to raise or lower the ringer volume.
12.How do I adjust ringer volume? / How do I turn off the ringer?
To adjust the ringer volume on the handset, press [MENU], [#][1][6][0], and press [▲] or [▼] to raise or lower the ringer volume. If you need to turn off the handset ringer only for a certain time of the day, you may also use the Night Mode function (see operating instructions for details).
13.The handset display shows "Don't use this battery".
You are using an Alkaline or other type of incompatible battery. Make sure you are using the Ni-MH batteries that came with the unit. If you need new batteries, you may purchase them from our battery store: http://www.panasonic.com/batterystore
14.I can't hear beeps any more while dialing a phone number, or using the menu. How can I turn it back on?
The Key Tone feature is turned off. To change the setting, press [MENU], [#][1][6][5], and press [▲] or [▼] to switch between off and on, then select [Save].
15.How can I turn off the LED light on the top of my handset?
The message indicator lights up when you have a new voicemail message, when you are receiving a call, or when the handset is placed on the charger. You can change the setting for the voicemail indicator by pressing [MENU], [#][3][4][0], and press [▲] or [▼] to switch between off and on, then select [Save]. It is not possible to turn off the LED for an incoming call, or while it is on the charger.
