2. How do I adjust the ringer volume and how do I turn it off?
To adjust the ringer volume on the handset, press [MENU], [#][1][6][0], and then press [▲] or [▼] to raise or lower the ringer volume. Press [SAVE] after you’ve reached the desired setting. If you need to turn off the handset ringer only for a certain time of the day, you may also use the Night Mode function (see operating instructions for details). To adjust the ringer volume on the base, you can press [▲] or [▼] to raise or lower the ringer volume. To turn off the ringer completely, press and hold [▼] for three seconds. 3. What should I do if my handset is not charging?
Make sure the phone is firmly seated on the charger, and the LED indicator on the top of the handset is on. Also, make sure you are using rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. If that doesn't work, disconnect the AC adaptor from the charger and reconnect. The plug may have become loose over time, or may not be fully inserted.
-
4. My handset displays "New voice mail". What does it mean, and how do I clear it?
You received a message on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. To hear the message, dial the voicemail number provided by your service provide and follow the voice instructions for listening to your messages. Depending on your service provider, you may need to clear your voice mailbox to remove the notification.
-
5. My handset displays "1 missed call" or "# missed calls". What does this mean, and how do I clear it?
The display appears when you received a call that was unanswered, but the caller didn't leave a message, or left a message in your voicemail. If you have Caller ID, you can press [View CID] on the handset to see a list of received calls. To clear the handset indication, all you have to do is view all of the missed calls (calls without a check mark). To delete the received caller information, you can clear all messages by pressing [All erase] on the first Caller list screen, or delete individual calls by pressing [Erase] once the particular call is selected.

6. What should I do if my handset displays "Check tel line" and I can't hear a dial tone?
You should disconnect the telephone cord from the main base and the wall. Insert both ends back in until you hear a click.
-
7. What should I do if my handset displays "No link to base. Reconnect AC adaptor"?
You should disconnect the AC adaptor from the unit, wait for a minute, and then reconnect. The plug may have become loose over time, or may not be fully inserted. If that does not work, try reregistering the handset, because another handset may have deregistered this handset.
-
8. I purchased the optional handset TGA930T, but the keypad color is different. Why is that?
The keypad color is different because an identical model that came with the base unit is unavailable at this time. The TGA935B, which is compatible with the phone you have purchased, has a similar keypad to the TGA931T.
-
9. Why does my handset keypad keep blinking?
It is normal for the handset keypad to keep blinking. It simply means you have to recharge the handset. When the battery voltage becomes low, the battery icon on the handset LCD will blink. If you don't recharge handset battery, the LED will shut off, and the Keypad light will blink to prompt you to put the handset on the charger.
-
10. Why do I hear an echo on my handset?
The echo is normal. When you first use your phone, there may be a slight echo for the first ten seconds of your conversation. The reason why this happens is because the microphone is being calibrated. This will occur again if the base is disconnected from the power outlet or after a power outage.
