1. How do I play back messages on the answering machine?
To play back messages on your answering machine, press the [←] button on the base. Alternatively, you can use the handset to check messages by pressing [MENU], [2]. If you have new messages, the unit will play back all new messages in the order they were received. If there are no new messages, the unit will play back all messages in the order they were received.

2. How do I go back to the prerecorded greeting?
To erase your greeting message and use the default greeting message, press [GREETING CHECK] on the base, and while the unit is playing back the message, press [ERASE]. To turn off the answering system entirely, press [ANSWER ON] on the base unit, and make sure the LED light next to it isn't lit.

3. How do I know how many messages are recorded?
The message indicator LED on the handset and the play button on the base will flash intermittently when there are new messages. To see the number of new messages, it is necessary to press play on the base, or message play through the handset. NOTE: It is not possible to know how many total messages have been recorded.

4. How do I erase messages on the answering machine?
To erase a message, play back that message, and press [ERASE] on the base. To erase all messages, press [ERASE] twice while the base is idle.

5. How do I set up a greeting message?
To set up a greeting message or outgoing message, press [GREETING REC] twice on the base unit and record your message after the beep. To stop recording, press either [GREETING REC] or [STOP] on the base unit. To play back your message, press [GREETING CHECK] on the base.

6. How can I turn off the LED light on the top of my handset?
The message indicator lights up when you have a new voicemail message, when you are receiving a call, or when the handset is placed on the charger. You can change the setting for the message indicator by pressing [MENU], [0][#], and press [↑] or [↓] to switch between off and on, then select [Save]. It is not possible to turn off the LED for an incoming call, or while it is on the charger.

7. I don’t hear beeps any more while dialing a phone number, or using the menu. How do I turn it back on?
The Key Tone feature is turned off. To change the setting, press [MENU], [0][2], and press [↑] or [↓] to switch between off and on, then select [Save].

8. How do I adjust the ringer volume, and how do I turn it off?
To adjust the ringer volume on the handset, press [MENU], [1][1], and press [↑] or [↓] to raise or lower the ringer volume. To adjust the ringer volume on the base, you can press [↑] or [↓] to raise or lower the ringer volume. To turn off the ringer completely, press and hold [↓] for three seconds until you hear two beeps. The ringer will be turned off until the volume is adjusted again.

9. What should I do if my handset does not charge?
Make sure the phone is firmly seated on the charger, and the LED indicator on the top of the handset is solid amber, or green. Also make sure you are using genuine Panasonic batteries. If that doesn't work, disconnect the AC adaptor from the charger and reconnect. The plug may have become loose over time, or may not be fully inserted.

10. How do I use call waiting?
When receiving another call, press [FLASH] on the handset. The current call is put on hold, and the other call is answered. You can press [FLASH] to go between the two calls as often as needed.
