  • 1. What is the difference between HDMI NORMAL SIGNAL LEVEL and EXPANDED SIGNAL LEVEL?

NORMAL SIGNAL LEVEL is YCbCr 16-235 bit format, which is the format used for distribution of content (Cable, satellite, HDDVD,DVD,Blue Ray). EXPANDED SIGNAL LEVEL is RGB 0-255 bit format. This is for mastering content onto D5 tape or into a high end computer editing system from film or HD source capable of RGB 0-255.

  • 2. Does my home theater projector have a 12v trigger output to control a projector screen?

The home theater projector models do not have a 12v trigger output.

  • 4. What is the vertical refresh rate of the PT-AX100, PT-AX200, PT-AE2000 and PT-AE1000 projectors when 24P sources are input?

The vertical refresh rate is 96HZ (4X24HZ). Each frame is displayed simply four times sequentially, then the next frame four times and so on.

  • 5. Can my home theater projector display 1080p 24fsp?

It will not display correctly. This format is for acquisition, storage, distribution and editing when passing the signal through electronics designed for interlace signals. It is not a standard for displaying final content, which is the main design principle of the home theater projector. These projectors are used by several Hollywood postproduction facilities during editing, and the lack of support for this format has never been an issue. This format is only supported on our 3 chip DLP® projectors.
