1. What can I do to stop the "TIMER" from flashing in my VCR?
The "TIMER" indicator is flashing because there is a timer recording set and there is no tape inserted. To stop this, insert a blank tape or delete any schedule recording.
-
2. Can the VCR+ system be used with a satellite receiver?
No. VCR+ is not compatible with satellite systems such as Direct TV and Dish Network.
-
3. When attempting to schedule a recording, I am unable to select the channel I want to record from when it's used with a converter box. Why is that?
This is normal when used with a cable or satellite box. You will need to select the proper output channel from the box (this is the channel that the TV has to be on in order to get a picture). Once the schedule recording is set, leave the cable or satellite box.
-
4. How come every time I put a tape in the VCR, it ejects it back out?
You are more than likely using a pre-recorded tape and a timer program is set to record. If you are trying to record, make sure the protection tab is in place.
-
5. Will my VCR be compatible when the change over to digital occurs?
Your VCR will compatible as long as you have any one of the following connected to the unit: satellite box, cable box, cable service, or a digital converter box for over-the-air broadcasting.
