PANASONIC ANNOUNCES NEW ONE-TOUCH-COOKING RICE COOKERS WITH MICROCOMPUTER TECHNOLOGY
The New Panasonic SR-DF101 and SR-DF181 Feature Microcomputer-based Fuzzy Logic Technology for Effortless, One Touch Cooking
Secaucus, NJ (September 20, 2012) – Panasonic today introduced the new SR-DF101 and SR-DF181 Rice Cookers with Microcomputer Fuzzy Logic technology. The new rice cooker models join Panasonic’s 2012 lineup of home appliance products and offer users effortless one-touch cooking through a seamless user interface and sleek product design.
The Panasonic SR-DF101, five-cup capacity model, and SR-DF181, ten-cup capacity model, boast advanced Fuzzy Logic technology, which automatically adjusts power and cooking time based on pre-set menu items. Six menu choices provide users with the opportunity to choose from cooking white rice, brown rice, soup or porridge or quick cook or steam (a steaming basket is included) a variety of other items, like vegetables or dumplings. A Keep Warm function is ideal when a user needs an extra few minutes to set the dinner table, and wants to keep their meal warm without worrying about overcooking.
The Panasonic SR-DF101 and SR-DF181 Rice Cookers feature an attractive, compact design that easily fits onto the kitchen counter without taking up essential space. The front of the Rice Cookers feature a large, easy-to-read slanted menu panel which features four illustrated menu buttons, making one-touch cooking as easy as possible.
“With the new SR-DF101 and SR-DF181 Rice Cookers, Panasonic is taking the ‘simple cooking’ concept to an entirely new level,” said Nicholas Monaco, Product Manager, Small Appliances, Panasonic Consumer Marketing Company of North America. “With one push operation, these new rice cookers offer the easiest operation yet. Plus, with the help of advanced fuzzy logic technology, a user can prepare a perfect meal every time, without worrying about over-or under-cooking food.”
Both the Panasonic SR-DF101 and SR-DF181 Rice Cookers have earned the Good Housekeeping Seal. Since 1909, the prestigious Seal has been granted to products that have been submitted for and passed a rigorous evaluation by the Good Housekeeping Research Institute. As part of Good Housekeeping’s Consumers' Policy, if a product receiving the Seal proves to be defective within two years from the date it was first sold to a consumer by an authorized retailer, Good Housekeeping will replace, repair the product or refund the purchase price.
The Panasonic SR-DF101 and SR-DF181 Rice Cookers will be available for purchase at various retail locations and online at www.shop.panasonic.com in October, for an SRP of $89.95 and $99.95, respectively.
