Mike Riccio Named Chief Financial Officer of Panasonic Corporation of North America

 

SECAUCUS, NJ, February 8, 2013 --- Mike Riccio has been named Chief Financial Officer of Panasonic Corporation of North America, the principal North American subsidiary of Osaka, Japan-based Panasonic Corporation (NYSE: PC).  Mr. Riccio, who until now has served as the company’s Vice President and Controller, has worked for Panasonic for 26 years, holding key accounting and financial management positions and leading many of the company’s strategic initiatives in the U.S. and Canada.

 

“Mike’s well deserved appointment to this post is an important milestone in the continued localization of Panasonic’s management outside Japan,” said Joseph M. Taylor, Chairman and CEO of Panasonic Corporation of North America. 

 

In addition to his new responsibilities as CFO, Mr. Riccio will continue to lead the relocation of the company’s headquarters operations.  As part of its continuing efforts to achieve sustainability, Panasonic Corporation of North America will move its headquarters from Secaucus, NJ to a new state-of-the-art eco-conscious office tower in Newark, NJ adjacent to the Newark Penn Station mass transit hub this summer. 

An accounting graduate of Rutgers University, with an MBA in Finance also from Rutgers, Mr. Riccio is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of CPA’s (NJSCPA).  Mr. Riccio and his family live in Wyckoff, New Jersey.
