Installation includes main LED video display, auxiliary scoreboards, locker and play clocks, a complete control system, a new audio system and new video head end system
Bradenton, FL, November 13, 2013 – Panasonic Eco Solutions North America announced that it is providing IMG Academy with a complete custom solution for its newest addition, a multi-sport complex that provides athletes with a state-of-the-art environment to train and perform at their highest level. The project includes a variety of systems; some of the installations have already been completed and are being utilized for events in the complex. The project is expected to be fully completed early next year.
“We believe that athletes that come to IMG Academy deserve a proper stage to perform at their best, and our new multi-sport complex is a physical representation of those values,” said Chip McCarthy, IMG Academy Vice President of Finance and Operations. “Panasonic is providing us with a customized solution that we feel will allow us to truly create the best stage possible that not only helps athletes feel good about their own performance, but allows spectators to feel like they are a part of the action.”
IMG Academy is a world-leading integrated academic and athletic training institution that is dedicated to helping individuals realize their true potential through innovative, comprehensive and specialized training programs. The complex has been designed to serve as the home venue for the IMG Academy football, lacrosse, and soccer programs, as well as the new track and field program. Panasonic will be installing a system that includes a main LED video display along with auxiliary scoreboards, locker and play clocks, a custom audio and video head end system, as well as a complete control system.
The free-standing main scoreboard includes a 29 feet x 19 feet 20mm LED video display, a 4 foot tall fixed-digit scoreboard below the video display, and large speakers mounted on both sides of the display. A second fixed-digit scoreboard measuring 63 feet wide by 4 feet tall will be installed on top of the new field house once it is completed early next year. The video display is highly visible to athletes and spectators, and operated by a video and audio production system that includes three video cameras, a production switching, computer graphics, instant replay, and an audio system. Several local businesses participated in the project including Anthony James Partners (Florida office) and ProSound (Orlando).
“Panasonic’s unique ability to create multi-product solutions sets us apart, and allows us to provide truly innovative solutions that inspire and delight performers and spectators, since these systems often become the center of attention during events ,” said Richard Ballard, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Panasonic Eco Solutions North America. “With IMG Academy’s new multi-sport complex, they are opening new doors for their athletes, and we are happy to be a part of this project.”
