1. How do I adjust the trimming length?

ER203, ER389: For a beard length anywhere between 1/8-45/64 inches, use the comb attachment (provided) and select the trimming position (see guide below). To set the trimming position, place the comb attachment over the blade, press the lock button (located on the height adjustment switch) and slide it to the position that corresponds to your trimming length. Release the lock button and the position will be memorized.

ER240: Set the adjustment tabs to the position corresponding with your desired trimming length (see guide below). Turn on the switch, set the comb against your face and begin trimming.

2. How does the trimmer operate?

ER203: The trimmer can be operated from either an AC power source or its rechargeable batteries. An 8 hour charge will give approximately 40 minutes of usage.

ER389: The trimmer operates on a built-in rechargeable battery. An 8 hour charge will provide about 45 minutes of use.

ER240: This trimmer requires 2 AA alkaline batteries to operate.

3. How do I keep my trimmer clean?

  • Hair
Remove the comb attachment and hold the trimmer still, then push the blade away from the main body with your thumb. Brush away all hair from the cutting mechanism. Push the cleaning lever down to raise the moving blade, and brush between the blade to remove any hair. To re-assemble, place the guide tabs in the guide sites and push down until the cutter assembly clicks into place.

  • Dust
If the body becomes dusty, clean only with a damp or slightly soapy cloth. Never use a corrosive cleaner such as benzine, or bleach or immerse the unit in water.
