1. I forgot/want to clear, my previously set password (PIN code) number, how do I reset it?
First, make sure the unit is in Standby Mode.
- Press FUNCTION/EDIT button.
- On the Navigator Key, press
until the cursor points
to "Change Password."
- Press the right arrow
to get the display of "Current password," then enter "7 2 6 2 7 6 6 4 2"("Panasonic") on the keypad.
- Press the down arrow
to get the display "Enter password," and enter a new 4-digit password (Ex.4444).
- Then press the ENTER button to save it. A long beep sounds. The new Password (PIN code) is set. (The password for the DIAL LOCK in the example will be 4444).
- Press the EXIT button and the unit will return to Standby Mode.
2. Why can't I hear any keypad tones when the keypad buttons are pressed?
A - The phone may have the DIAL LOCK feature enabled. First try to unlock the telephone by pressing the DIAL LOCK button. Then, enter the correct password (PIN code) and press the ENTER button. If password (PIN code) has been changed or forgotten, follow the Password Reset Instructions.
3. Why is the Dial Lock icon displayed on the LCD?

4. Can I use DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) on this phone?
DSL should work fine as long as it is connected to Line 2 only. You will also need a filter recommended by your DSL provider.
Please Note: There will be interference with the Intercom Feature if DSL is installed on Line 1.
5. Why do my Extension lights flash every few days?
Check to see if you are using a Panasonic (9 volt and 350mA output) AC Adapter, model number KX-TCA1. The model number will be stamped on the adapter.
It is very important that you use the AC Adapter that is supplied with your unit, especially when upgrading from the KX-T3280 to the KX-T3282.
6. Why doesn't the Hold Feature always work?
