1. Where does my Lumix digital camera store the pictures I take?
Unlike 35mm cameras that store images on film, Panasonic digital cameras store images on SD Cards,
which make sharing and storing your pictures easy and convenient. You simply insert a SD Card into the
camera, take pictures until the card is full, and then you can download the pictures onto your PC, erase
some or all of the images on the card and use it again, or you can just replace it with a fresh card.
2. What are the main advantages of Panasonic Lumix digital cameras?
The Leica lens
Panasonic Lumix digital cameras are equipped with a lens made by Leica, a world-renowned and well-respected
manufacturer of precision optical technologies.
The SD Advantage
All Panasonic Lumix digital cameras come with an SD (Secure Digital) card and slot. SD cards offer high
storage capacity and a high data transfer rate (up to 2MB per second), but only weigh approximately 2 grams
and are only about the size of a postage stamp. Also, because it's quick and easy to download pictures from
your SD card to your computer, it's simple to erase the card and re-use it. This means you won't have to pay
for any more rolls of film or film development.
Not only can you use your SD card with your digital camera and computer, but because SD is compatible with
other electronic devices such as PDAs, portable digital audio players, digital video camcorders and cell
phones, data sharing is a cinch.
The MEGA BURST shooting mode
The MEGA BURST mode is a technologically-advanced consecutive shooting feature with multi-task Image
Processing. The unique aspect of the MEGA BURST mode is its rapid shooting speed of 4 frames per second,
allowing you to take up to 8 pictures (available on select models) with just one press of the button.
And all of this without sacrificing resolution!
